Leading Theatre Technician

Are you a skilled and experienced theatre technician looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as a theatre technician.
As a theatre technician, you will be responsible for assisting clinicians and team members with patient preparation, preparing and maintaining operating suite equipment, and providing safe patient transport within the operating suite and interdepartmental transfers. You will work closely with top-flight practitioners in all areas of the hospital, making this a unique and rewarding experience.
To succeed in this role, you will need a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to show compassion and empathy to patients. You will also require a Cert III or Cert IV Theatre Technician qualification, minimum 6 months theatre technician experience following qualification, a clear understanding and use of medical terminology, and an understanding of, and ability to set-up medical devices / theatres.
In addition to your technical skills, we are seeking a team player who is able to work a rotating roster (mix of AM, PM, twilight, night and weekend shifts). This requires flexibility and adaptability, as well as a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
