Job Title: Security Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Security Operations Specialist to lead our security operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and responding to evolving threats, ensuring the organization is proactively protected.

About the Role:

  • The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in cyber security or adjacent fields.
  • They should have experience in cybersecurity operations, preferably in an MSP, SME, or lean team environment.
  • Familiarity with cyber threat intelligence feeds and practical application is required.
  • Proficiency in vulnerability scanning tools and remediation workflows is essential.
  • The role requires exposure to phishing simulation platforms and user awareness programs.
  • A solid understanding of IT infrastructure, including applications, networks, servers, and endpoints, is necessary.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal, across all levels are crucial.
  • Industry certifications, such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, CISM, are highly valued but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and analyze cyber threat intelligence feeds for emerging risks.
  2. Plan, execute, and report on phishing simulation campaigns and user awareness activities.
  3. Conduct vulnerability scans and coordinate with internal stakeholders for remediation.
  4. Support incident response and operational security activities.
  5. Contribute to the uplift and implementation of security controls and standards.
  6. Stay current on cyber threat trends, tools, and attacker techniques.
  7. Communicate technical risks and findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
