Anaesthetics Provisional Fellows and Registrars

The Department of Anaesthesia at Mercy Hospitals Victoria Ltd provides anaesthetic services for a range of surgical and medical specialties, including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, and Obstetrics. As an Anaesthetics Provisional Fellow or Registrar, you will be responsible for providing peri-operative anaesthetic and resuscitation care to patients, including anaesthesia and analgesia services in the operating theatres, wards, and emergency department.

• Provide high-quality clinical care to patients, including anaesthesia and analgesia services
• Participate in the coordination of weekly Pre-Anaesthetic Assessment Clinics
• Contribute to the organisation and coordination of departmental non-clinical education and quality assurance activities
• Work collaboratively with consultant anaesthetists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
• Participate in the activities of the department, including quality improvement initiatives and professional development opportunities

• Be registrable with AHPRA as a Registrar or Provisional Fellow in Anaesthesia
• Have a high standard of written and verbal communication skills
• Be able to work effectively in a team environment
• Have a practical and common-sense approach to problem-solving and trouble-shooting
