Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and develop a strong team within our company culture
  • Recruit, interview, and select qualified candidates to build a talent pipeline
  • Coach, train, and motivate your team through ongoing programs in sales, customer service, and product knowledge development
  • Develop and empower your management team to take on increased levels of responsibility
  • Ensure the store meets or exceeds sales, contest, and payroll goals
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience
  • Maintain and uphold store standards - visuals, cleanliness, signage, safety, etc.
  • Manage store operating procedures - inventory levels, cash control, minimizing losses, etc.
  • Ensure a safe work environment and ongoing safety training and awareness
  • Foster a positive environment where all associates are treated fairly and with dignity
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience in retail management, ideally in homewares and/or specialty retail
  • Passion for empowering teams and being empowered to make decisions that best support the needs of the business
  • Results-oriented leadership who loves to coach, mentor, motivate, inspire, and help grow their team to meet and exceed goals
  • Agility to think outside the box and thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Customer service passion and ability to exceed customer expectations
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to manage a team to exceed sales goals while meeting payroll targets
  • Ability to identify top talent, create strong teams, and train, develop, and retain great people
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to be mobile in the store and back-of-house areas
  • Ability to climb ladders and use other equipment safely
  • Ability to lift and move medium to large items up to 30kg
