The Opportunity

As a Product Support Specialist - Mining Excavators, you will provide high-level product support to operations for Hitachi mining excavators in Western Australia.

You will engage with Branch Operations and customers, responsible for:

  • Tracking fleet performance and reliability to resolve local product-related issues and escalate major product issues.
  • Identifying and driving product improvement opportunities.
  • Managing and distributing OEM technical documentation and campaigns.
  • Effectively communicating and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Delivering results through established processes and effective escalation.
  • Managing HCM Incident Report escalation and action within your area of responsibility.
  • Supporting the introduction of new mining equipment products.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously.
  • Proven experience in a Technical or Product Support role.
  • High technical knowledge and experience working on Hitachi mining excavators.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • Good computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office) with ability to visualize data and compile reports.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills and the ability to liaise with customers at different organizational levels.
  • Minimum 5 years in a mobile equipment-focused Technical Support role within the Australian mining industry.
  • Relevant trade certificate or tertiary qualification.
