Early Childhood Leadership Opportunity

A dynamic role has arisen in a campus environment supporting the care of up to 57 children daily.

We are seeking an advocate for the sector with strong leadership and management potential as Assistant Director & Education Leader.

You will support dedicated educators who have exceptional relationships with children, partnering with a Director committed to the campus and its community.

Key Responsibilities:

As Assistant Director:

  • Collaborate with the campus Director and provide support in their absence.
  • Support Educators' professional development and contribute to their growth.
  • Assist with service compliance, WH&S, and administration tasks.
  • Roster and manage day-to-day staff activities.
  • Support the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and campus quality initiatives.
  • Build strong bonds with families and the local community.
  • Foster OAC Heart principles across the campus.

As Education Leader:

  • Maximise WH&S and ensure policies are adhered to, including child protection.
  • Share knowledge of the EYLF and NQF with the team.
  • Inspire Educators and Room Leaders to deliver an outstanding program aligned with the OAC Grow Curriculum.
  • Mentor the team, reflect on best practice, and develop the programming cycle in each room.
  • Lead Quality Area 1 across the campus.
  • Observe Educators and Room Leaders, providing advice, research, and guidance.
  • Meet with Educators during programming time and offer support.
  • Attend Education Leader meetings and collaborate with the Education and Pedagogy Team.
