Unaccredited Urology Registrar Position

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an Unaccredited Registrar to join our dynamic team in the Western Health Urology Unit.

  • The role involves participating in ongoing assessment of competencies via college assessment forms, working under supervision to develop clinical and decision-making skills, and performing unit duties as delegated by the Unit Head or Receiving Consultant.
About the Job

As an Unaccredited Registrar, you will have your own theatre lists, including independent flexible cystoscopy lists. You will be responsible for ward management of patients and participating in the on-call roster.

This position requires strong clinical and communication skills, with a focus on developing skills in urology and contributing to a high-quality care environment.

You will work closely with experienced consultants and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care and support the development of the Urology Unit's research culture.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement effective strategies for managing patient care and Theatre lists.
  2. Collaborate with consultants and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and high-quality outcomes.
  3. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of the Urology Unit's research culture.
  4. Maintain accurate records and provide timely reports to stakeholders.
