About the Role

Flying Doctor Mobile Patient Care is seeking experienced Ambulance Attendants and Paramedics for casual positions in Mitcham, Victoria. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and transportation services to patients with various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient assessment and intervention on-road
  • Provide high-quality patient care and treatment during on-road transport
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with patients and stakeholders
  • Assess the effectiveness of any intervention in accordance with RFDS MPC guidelines and NEPT regulations
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and perform independently within established policies and procedures

Qualifications and Experience Required:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance), Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic), or equivalent qualification recognized by RFDS or DHHS
  • Evidence of successful completion of required clinical placements and a Clinical Skills Assessment
  • Minimum 400 hours operational stretcher experience under direct supervision of a clinical instructor
  • Registered Nurse in the Nursing and Midwifery Board Australia with an appropriate bridging course for practice in the non-emergency patient transport sector (optional)

Salary:

The estimated annual salary for this role is around $60,000-$80,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

  • Measles, Mumps, and Rubella
  • Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis
  • Annual Influenza
