This involves applying your clinical expertise in assessment, evaluation, and diagnosis to gather and synthesize clinical evidence through medical and military record review, diagnostic testing, interviews with Veterans, and face-to-face examinations.

As a certified medical disability examiner, you will develop a medical opinion of likelihood that the Veteran's condition is related to their military service. Your timely and expert examination ensures that a Veteran's claim is heard and dutifully processed by VBA.

A typical workflow for a provider includes:

  • Exam Request Received
  • Testing and Exam Schedule
  • Provider Reviews Records
  • Veteran Exam Completion
  • Report Reviewed and Submitted
Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Doctorate Degree in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
  • An active license
