About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Estimator to join our team at Kapitol Group. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in managing the full tender process of medium to large-scale projects and help us build our pipeline of work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and coordinate high-quality and accurate tender proposals and submissions
  • Source and collate supplier and contractor quotes
  • Develop relationships with clients, designers, architects, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Review, develop, and maintain accurate and up-to-date cost information
  • Attend tender interviews and take the lead as required
  • Liaise with project teams and prepare project schedules
  • Mentor and grow other Estimators to be the best they can be
  • Preparation of construction budgets for handover to the construction team
  • Help continually improve our estimating processes and systems
About You
  • Genuine passion for the Construction industry and Estimating
  • Tertiary qualified in Construction Management or a related discipline/equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience in a Senior Estimator role working across multiple projects, ideally in Tier 1 & 2 builders
  • Proven background on medium-to-large new construction projects
  • High level of proficiency with Cost X and Estimate One
  • Well-versed with preliminaries costing
  • Sound understanding of construction systems and methodologies and the ability to demonstrate this to clients
  • Strong experience in building and maintaining relationships built on trust and authenticity
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities and context switch quickly
  • Experience mentoring junior team members
  • A strong team focus, and highly motivated
