Care Support Volunteer

We are seeking dedicated volunteers to provide companionship and support to children and young people in care.
About the RoleThe Independent Visiting service is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on a young person's life. As a volunteer, you will be matched with a child or young person who needs a supportive friend and companion.
You will have the chance to engage in various activities such as going to the movies, playing sports, trying restaurants, or exploring parks. Full training and support will be provided to ensure your success in this role.
Meet Some of Our Young People:
- Amy (12), living with an older carer, seeks an active visitor for sports.
- Brad (13) wants a visitor for outings and fun with other young people.
- Cassie (16) needs confidence-boosting visits and local explorations.
- Danny (11) requires independent activities, such as park visits and animal encounters.
- Emma (9) wants a visitor for one-on-one activities and trying new things.
Our Expectations:
- Visits mostly happen on weekends and after school hours.
- Commitment is at least 24 months with one visit per month for stability.
- Complete the application form's Personal Statement section fully; it's part of the shortlisting process.
