Personal Care Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking dedicated and qualified individuals to fill rewarding positions as Personal Care Specialists. As an integral part of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to individuals in need.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide personalized care and support to clients with disabilities, assisting them in leading independent lives through daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal assistance.

2. Assist elderly individuals in maintaining independence and overall well-being, providing personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, and companionship.

3. Offer emotional support and monitor health and medication as needed.

4. Organize inclusive social and recreational activities to enhance overall well-being.

5. Monitor health and promptly report any issues to healthcare professionals.

6. Maintain a safe environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum Certificate III in Individual Care or Certificate IV in Ageing Support.

2. Experience in providing care for aged care or disability clients.

3. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

4. Valid National Police Check.

5. Updated First Aid & CPR Certificate.

6. NDIS Workers Screening Card/Orientation Module.

Preferred Skills:

1. Knowledge of person-centered care principles and safety regulations.

2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

3. Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude.

4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

5. Physical stamina for lifting, bending, and manual tasks.

6. Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and evenings.

7. Willingness to learn, develop, and take on new challenges.
