Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead to join our team of speech therapists at Healthy Kids at Play in Werribee.

The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background in pediatric speech pathology and excellent leadership skills, with experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff members.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team and expand our speech pathology services, collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive client-centred care.

You will be responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to clients with speech, language, and communication disorders, as well as supervising and mentoring junior staff members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Intervention: Conduct comprehensive assessments for a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders, developing and implementing individualised treatment plans based on assessment findings.
  • Supervision and Mentorship: Supervise and mentor junior staff members, including speech pathologists and therapy assistants, ensuring they receive the necessary support and guidance to excel in their roles.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, occupational therapists, and educators, to ensure holistic care and effective communication.
  • Patient Records and Progress Reports: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress reports, adhering to professional standards and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia (CPSP status required).
  • A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in pediatric speech pathology, with a focus on supervision and mentorship.
  • Proven track record of success in leading teams and driving service growth.
