This is a unique opportunity to make a difference in your community as a Correctional Officer working with inmates in court or cell complexes.

  • Respond effectively to emergency situations, demonstrating expertise in handling firearms and other safety protocols.

Requirements:
  • Minimum age of 18 years old.
  • A current driver's license with no restrictions.
  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency.
  • Willingness to work an average of 2-3 days per week.
  • Ability to adapt to irregular shift patterns, including evenings and weekends.
  • Availability for on-call shifts, with notice provided at least 5 pm the day before.
  • Commitment to completing the Certificate III in Correctional Practise.
  • Meeting medical standards for correctional officers and possessing a reasonable level of fitness.
  • No visible tattoos deemed inappropriate or offensive, as outlined in the department's dress manual.

Please note that additional eligibility criteria apply for transport roles, including obtaining a Medium Rigid License within 3 months of commencing the position.
