This rewarding role involves supporting our donors through their donation process, ensuring they feel valued and respected throughout their experience.

A typical day in the centre could see you:

  • Greet and engage with potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donate
  • Create a donor experience that exceeds expectations and fosters a sense of loyalty
  • Conduct routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests to ensure donor safety and well-being
  • Set up and operate machines and collections equipment efficiently
  • Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets
  • Monitor donors post-donation and assist them with rebooking their next appointment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve collection targets and drive business success

No prior experience in blood collection is necessary, as our comprehensive training program provides a balance between on-the-job practice and online learning.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be able to:

  • Be comfortable with medical procedures and equipment
  • Occasionally lift moderate weights (9-22.7kgs)
  • Foster a positive team culture and contribute to a supportive work environment
  • Stand, walk, and bend frequently to set up and pack down equipment
  • Be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Saturday, including weekends, afternoons, and evening shifts
