Job Overview

Wood is seeking a highly ambitious Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, analyze and oversee projects with a focus on technical leadership for major capital works programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designs, develops and tests mechanical systems, components, and products.
  • Provides technical guidance, leads design reviews, and ensures technical quality and compliance with standards.
  • Is a problem-solver — analyzes existing systems, identifies problems and develops solutions.
  • Ensures designs meet specifications, are cost-effective, reliable, and have a low environmental impact.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years direct experience managing projects on major hazards facilities (MHF).
  • Demonstrable experience of embedding safety considerations into all aspects of mechanical engineering and design.
  • Proven experience of being directly involved on projects in the chemicals/agricultural sectors.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
