About the Role

The Disability Support Worker is responsible for providing high-quality support to individuals living with complex trauma, challenging behaviors, and/or physical/clinical needs. Working closely with external care teams and families, this role involves assisting participants in enhancing their everyday living skills, accessing community services, and achieving personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting clients with personal care, community access, and daily routines
  • Providing support in clients' homes or purpose-built Vertical Villages (SIL/SDA)
  • Managing complex needs including behaviors of concern, trauma, forensic backgrounds, and high clinical needs
  • Administering medication and following detailed health support plans
  • Implementing behavior support plans and using de-escalation techniques
  • Providing person-centered care to NDIS participants
  • Collaborating with clinicians, case workers, and families
About You

To succeed in this position, you will require a minimum of 6 months' experience in disability, aged care, mental health, or related fields. A Certificate III/IV/Diploma in Disability, Individual Support, Aged Care, or similar qualification is preferred. Strong communication skills, effective case note writing, and the ability to work under pressure are essential requirements.
