About the Role

School Learning Support Officers (Student Health Support) provide support for students with identified diverse learning needs, including disability, in classrooms and other learning environments under the direction and supervision of a teacher to achieve educational outcomes. The main focus is on delivering health support so that students can participate in and access educational programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working effectively as part of a team
  • Supporting students with emotional, physical or intellectual disabilities
  • Providing health support as required

Requirements:

  • Working with Children Check Clearance
  • Mandatory training completion by the Department of Education

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to work with students with emotional, physical or intellectual disabilities
  • Awareness of student needs with emotional, physical or intellectual disabilities
  • Effective communication skills

The ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. A collaborative approach is essential in this role, requiring excellent communication and time management abilities.
