Job Overview

HRG is seeking a skilled and experienced Telecoms Rigger to join our team. As a Telecoms Rigger, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of complex steelwork and telecommunication structures across Australia's eastern seaboard.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Installation of complex steelwork from shop drawings, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  2. Installation of mobile equipment for all major carriers, meeting strict technical specifications.
  3. Leadership and management of a team, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
  4. Installation of telecommunication structures, including poles, masts, and towers, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  5. Understanding and interpretation of site drawings, ensuring accurate installation and maintenance.
  6. Fault finding and resolution, identifying and addressing technical issues promptly.
  7. Collaboration with cranes and EWPs (Elevated Work Platforms), ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  8. Completion of OH&S (Occupational Health and Safety) documentation, maintaining a safe working environment.
Requirements
  1. Valid Rigging tickets in Australia, with a strong understanding of structural knowledge and experience.
  2. Minimum 2 years' experience within a telecommunications environment, with a focus on steel installation and maintenance.
  3. Minimum 3 years' experience required for a team leader role, with a proven track record of successful project management.
  4. Regional travel as required, with flexibility to adapt to changing project demands.
  5. Experience with structure upgrades and RF (Radio Frequency) experience an advantage.

Required Tickets

Ideal Candidate
  1. Experience with tower upgrades and steel installation at height.
  2. Broadcast experience with large towers and rigging.
  3. Some RF (Radio Frequency) experience.
  4. Hard-working and committed individual with a strong work ethic.
  5. Relaxed and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
