Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Director to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial and business support and advice to our hotel executive team. This is a key role that requires strong business acumen, financial expertise, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage budgets, financial reports, and management reports to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Manage the performance and development of the finance team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
- Maintain control over expenses, income, assets, and liabilities of the hotel, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Own and manage the Accounts Receivable/Payable, general cashier, audit, and payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Generate month-end reports, including P&Ls, in a timely manner, providing insightful analysis and recommendations for improvement.
- Provide long-term business and financial planning, making strategic recommendations to drive business growth and profitability.
- Create and maintain sound, legally compliant financial policies, processes, and procedures, ensuring the integrity of all ledgers and financial accounting.
- Contribute to the overall profitability of the company, identifying areas for cost savings and process improvements.
- Provide clear and concise financial information to stakeholders, including owners and regional finance teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Finance.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in a hotel accounting or related field.
- CA/CPA qualified.
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and PMS systems.
- Strong business acumen, with strategic expertise and a proven track record of creating efficiencies across financial processes and procedures.
- Excellent analytical and numerical reasoning skills.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team, prioritizing workload, and effectively managing staff.
- Display a proactive attitude, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong business partnering and communication capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a global organization.
