We are seeking a skilled veterinary nurse to join our dynamic surgical team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our experienced surgery specialists, senior registrars, residents, and interns.

Job Description

The Animal Referral Hospital is a leading emergency and specialist veterinary hospital in Brisbane, offering a wide range of specialist services. As a veterinary nurse in our busy surgery department, you will provide top-notch nursing and patient care, working closely with our anesthetists and surgical team.

  • Surgery patient treatments and care
  • Patient recovery and monitoring
  • IV catheter placement and fluid therapy
  • Taking blood and using in-house lab equipment
  • Cleaning and autoclaving of surgical instruments and specialized equipment
  • Specialist surgical and theatre nursing
  • Anesthesia
  • Radiology (including CT & MRI imaging)

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience as a veterinary nurse
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
