Worker Compensation Specialist Role Overview

As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to take your career to the next level in an exciting role as a Worker Compensation Specialist.

The Personal Injury team is dedicated to conducting independent internal reviews of adverse claims decisions and resolving escalated complaints for personal injury claimants fairly, timely and cost-effectively, while meeting all regulatory standards and legislative requirements.

You will join a fantastic customer-obsessed team who are devoted problem solvers, dedicated to getting the right outcomes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct internal reviews of adverse claim decisions to ensure outcomes meet regulatory standards and legislative requirements.
  • Deliver responses to escalated complaints in accordance with regulatory standards and legislative requirements.
  • Assist with incoming call complaints to address customer concerns in a timely manner.
  • Support the work of the Leader and Senior Specialists to lead, manage and deliver operational requirements of the team.
  • Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of data, records, and information relevant to internal reviews and escalated complaints.

Requirements:

  • Insurance experience, particularly in NSW framework.
  • Strong technical skills in an insurance setting, preferably workers compensation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and well-developed writing skills.
  • Ability to hit the ground running and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Qualifications in Law, Insurance, Medical, Allied Health or related disciplines may be advantageous.
