We are currently seeking an experienced Employment Advisor to join our Human Resources team based in Brisbane. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert HR advice and support to leaders across multiple project sites, leveraging their knowledge of employment laws and regulations to drive strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on general HR/IR matters, including issue resolution, performance management, and employee development;
  • Support the Specialist HR Advisor in preparing employment contracts and internal employee correspondence as required;
  • Conduct workplace investigations into people complaints or other matters;
  • Develop and deliver training programs on HR and IR topics for leaders and personnel;
  • Collaborate with Managers and Specialist HR Advisors to execute HR/IR strategies, including researching and negotiating enterprise agreements;
  • Analyse key HR data and provide recommendations to stakeholders;
  • Participate in HR audits and governance activities;
  • Manage HR administration tasks, including controlling records and updating registers;
  • Identify opportunities for business improvement and develop initiatives to enhance the Golding system;
  • Build relationships with leaders and external stakeholders.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Degree-level qualification in Human Resources or a related field;
  • Experience in a similar role within the mining and civil construction industry is highly preferred;
  • Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and contemporary HR/IR policies and processes;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels;
  • A high attention to detail and solutions-focused approach;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
