Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Risk and Compliance Specialist to join our Quality and Risk team in strengthening our commitment to child safety and regulatory excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record and coordinate Berry Street's legal requirements in relation to relevant policies and procedures that relate to child safety.
  • Provide advice and guidance to senior leadership and program staff to ensure Berry Street meets the Child Safe Standards.
  • Facilitate an organisational culture that is proactive in identifying, mitigating and managing risk through management and continuous improvement of risk management systems.
  • Support in the identification, assessment and monitoring of program risk registers, mitigation and improvement plans.
About You

You have a passion for child safety and a sound understanding of Victorian child safety standards. You have a keen eye for detail and identifying risk. You are well-versed in all aspects of Risk Management and enjoy working collaboratively within a team. You are confident with systems, reporting and analysing data.

You hold a Bachelor qualification in Social Work, Quality Management, Legal Studies, Compliance and Risk or related field and/or experience in a similar field. You have excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is $106K per annum, plus superannuation and salary packaging.
