Overview: A Clinical Nurse Educator position is available in a pediatric setting, focusing on delivering excellence in mental health nursing care and developing staff skills. The part-time role involves 64 hours of work per fortnight.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting new and existing staff to deliver high-quality patient care and develop their knowledge and abilities.
- Developing clinical supervision frameworks for undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, and transition nurses in collaboration with the Psychiatric Nursing Community.
- Creating professional development plans that reflect contemporary child and adolescent mental health nursing principles, working closely with senior colleagues.
- Evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of nursing workforce education and training programs.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the relevant authority.
- Significant experience in acute adolescent mental health, with demonstrated expert knowledge and application of contemporary theories and techniques.
- Post-graduate diploma in Mental Health Nursing or an equivalent specialist undergraduate program.
- Continuing Professional Development (CPD) record evidencing commitment to ongoing personal and professional growth.
- Understanding of adult learning principles, Mental Health Intensive Care Framework, and other relevant legislation and policies.
- Preceptorship experience and knowledge of learning management systems.
