About This Role

We are seeking supportive home care assistants to join our team. As a supportive home care assistant, you will provide assistance to customers in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and live safely in their own environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
  • Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
  • Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
  • Support customers in the use of aids and personal equipment
  • Support customers with complex and/or challenging needs
  • Monitor the well-being of customers and report on their progress
  • Provide updates on customer progress following each service

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Caring, compassionate & friendly
  • Good interpersonal skills & written/verbal communication skills
  • Reliable & dependable
  • Ability to build rapport & good working relationships
  • Comfortable using technology (i.e. mobile app) for accessing rosters & recording customer notes/feedback

Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance / Criminal Record Check
  • Current First Aid certificate/CPR
  • Manual Handling certificate
  • Current Australian Drivers License
  • Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle
  • Smart phone with internet access
