Medical Director

As a key member of our expanding cardiology service, you will play a crucial role in shaping the growth and development of our service. Your primary focus will be delivering high-quality patient-centred care as part of an interdisciplinary team.

The position involves providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiology consultations across North-Western Victoria, Lower New South Wales, and into South Australia. You will also be responsible for conducting outreach clinics to surrounding regional health services, ensuring seamless delivery of quality care to patients in need.

Your expertise will encompass a range of cardiac investigations, including echocardiograms, stress tests, and other diagnostic procedures. Additionally, you will contribute to the Clinical Diagnostic Unit by interpreting results and supporting clinical decision-making.

We are seeking an experienced Cardiologist who can provide education, supervision, and support to junior medical staff and medical students. The successful candidate will also actively participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives, driving excellence in patient care.

• AHPRA Specialist Registration in Cardiology is essential for this role.
• Demonstrated experience in performing stress echocardiograms, transoesophageal echocardiograms (TOE), and transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) is mandatory.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills are critical for success in this position.
• Commitment to teaching and mentoring is highly valued.
• Credentialing to implant pacemaker devices would be advantageous but not required.
