About the Role


We are seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters to support our client's rotating equipment team based in Newcastle. With a proven ability to lead into permanent, full-time positions, this is an excellent opportunity for those looking to advance their careers.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform a variety of workshop-based jobs involving rotating mechanical equipment, fans, ventilation, and compression.
  2. Conduct general fitting, overhauls, modifications, fitting, and measuring of bearings and shafts, and testing.
  3. Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.

Requirements
  1. Mechanical Trade Qualification.
  2. A great attitude and willingness to learn, valued above everything else.
  3. A background in fixed plant rotating equipment is highly regarded.
  4. Manual machining experience is desirable but not essential.
  5. Dogging and Forklift Ticket - Highly regarded.
  6. Genuine commitment to safety.
  7. Excellent work references that can support your application.

What We Offer
  1. $57.50 / hour casual.
  2. Enough variety to work on different things every day.
  3. Monday - Friday 6 AM - 2:30 PM + overtime and penalties available.
  4. Growing global organization with a great team culture that promotes internally.
  5. Potential to lead to a permanent full-time position.
  6. Newcastle Based - ASAP Start.
