About the Role

Victoria Police is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Executive Director - Human Resources to lead the HR People Services Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a diverse team of professionals, including Payroll Services, HR Information Systems, Workforce Reporting, and HR Advisory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the HR Services function with a focus on payroll delivery and compliance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the delivery of HR Services, enabling employees to focus on their critical work.
  • Collaborate with HR Leadership team peers and other department leads to shape and execute strategies.
  • Manage a large team, providing guidance and coaching to ensure successful project delivery and technology advancements.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in leadership roles, particularly in Payroll, HR Systems, HR data, and HR Advisory functions.
  • Proven ability to manage large teams and deliver key HR services.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working with stakeholders to determine technical and technology improvements.
  • Exposure to systems such as SAP and Oracle.
  • A willingness to drive new ideas and respect the need for consistency at scale.
  • A sharp eye for detail and experience ensuring attention to governance and regulatory requirements.
