About the Role
">We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Microbiology Laboratory Manager to lead and oversee departmental testing and operations at Laverty Pathology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment in the laboratory.

- Manage the development, validation, and implementation of protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.">
- Monitor and report on monthly financial KPIs, ensuring optimal laboratory performance and support for clinical needs.">
- Prepare and submit recommendations for capital expenditure to drive business growth and improvement.">
- Oversight of departmental testing, development, and validation of methods to maintain current scientific knowledge and best practices.">
- Maintain all work practices and procedures to ensure compliance with NATA/TGA/NPACC and company systems.">
- Proactively drive quality and workflow improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency and productivity.">
About You
">To succeed in this role, you will need to meet the following essential requirements:
">- ">
- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent qualification.">
- 6 years' experience as a senior scientist in a related field with exposure across pathology.">
- Minimum 2 years in a senior supervisory role with management of rosters, KPIs, turnaround times, and performance management.">
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff.">
- Self-initiative and problem-solving capabilities.">
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in laboratory practices.">
- Ability to foster a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and knowledge sharing.">
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.">

Salary
