Job Title: Fashion Product Developer

The role involves research and analysis of market trends, consumer needs, and competitor activity. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a deep understanding of current and future trends in the Australian market.

This position requires strong verbal communication skills to collaborate with colleagues at all levels. The ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate across teams is also essential. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills are necessary to succeed in this role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Researching and analyzing market trends, consumer needs, and competitor activity.
  • Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of current and future trends in the Australian market.
  • Designing and developing new products that meet commercial viability and align with company strategies.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product development and delivery.
  • Managing the full development cycle of new, exclusively developed products.

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage workload in a dynamic environment.

Experience and expertise required includes:

  • 2+ years of experience in design or product development (fast fashion experience is highly desirable).
  • Understanding of current and future trends for the Australian market.
  • Strong working knowledge of fabrics, trims, and garment construction.
  • CAD development and sketching skills.
  • Deep knowledge of the Product Development Lifecycle and its components.
  • Ability to help source new suppliers if gaps exist in the supplier base.
