Finance Officer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Officer to join our team at Randstad. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial expertise and support to our clients across the portfolio.

About the Role:

  • This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Payroll and/or Accounts Payable professional to leverage their skills and experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll and accounts payable functions, with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • They will be able to gain proficiency in legislation, policy, and internal processes quickly.
  • The selected candidate will possess well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to liaise and provide suitable advice to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Sound organisational and time management skills are essential, including the ability to work methodically with a high degree of attention to detail and to work to deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Review invoices to ensure proper authorization for payment in compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Scan high volumes of invoices and data into the system with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Verify the accuracy of invoices ready to be loaded into the system.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure invoices are processed for timely approval and payment within agreed payment terms.
  • Accurately process manual invoices, including employee reimbursements, petty cash, and payroll deductions.
  • Prepare and reconcile invoice batches ready for certification.
  • Manage centralised Accounts Payable mailboxes.
  • Process credit notes and follow up on refunds from suppliers.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts.
  • Investigate and correct all discrepancies and errors detected in Accounts Payable processing.
