This exciting opportunity is for someone who wants to pursue a career as a swim teacher.

Job Description

You will learn and assist the swim school team in teaching swimming and water safety skills to children. Our expert trainers will guide you through on-the-job training, covering all aspects of swim teaching.

We support your professional development by covering training fees. You will receive qualifications including Certificate III in Sport, Aquatics and Recreation (SIS30122), Swim Teacher qualifications, and Bronze Medallion.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and is able to motivate and work with diverse people. We are looking for someone who is a competent and strong swimmer, with a reasonable level of fitness, and holds a current C class national driver's licence or is progressing towards it.

Requirements
  1. School leavers: OLNA or NAPLAN 9 Band 8
  2. Non-school leavers: C Grades in Year 10 English and Maths or a completion of a Certificate II in a related discipline
  3. Competent and strong swimmer with the ability to pass at a Bronze Medallion level
  4. Reasonable level of fitness
  5. Current C class national driver's licence or progress towards
  6. Confident and professional communication skills both verbal and written
  7. Ability to motivate and work with a diverse range of people including children and adults
  8. Excellent presentation
  9. Team player and ability to work well individually
  10. Excellent time management skills, organised and able to prioritise tasks effectively
  11. Able to follow instructions
  12. Demonstrated competence in the use of computers including Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Packages
  13. Reliable and self-motivated
