This role is a key position within the underwriting and claims team in the Australia region.
Job Overview:- This senior-level position involves providing high-quality underwriting assessments and supporting key underwriting and claims-related activities.
- Deliver accurate and timely assessments of client referrals, adhering to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Continuously challenge current practices and enhance processes and documentation.
- Leverage technology to optimize underwriting and claims activities.
- Maintain awareness of regulatory changes impacting the insurance and reinsurance markets.
- Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop targeted training initiatives.
- Lead or serve as subject matter expert for technology platforms, focusing on efficiency gains and user testing.
- Support business development work, including client engagement on risk philosophy changes and requested enhancements.
- Provide informal and formal mentoring/training to develop team members' skills.
- Demonstrated experience working in a life underwriting and claims department at a senior level.
- Experience handling underwriting for major products.
- Good working knowledge of life insurance industry regulations.
