We are seeking a dynamic professional to fill the role of Science Strategy and Policy Officer.

About the Role:
  • The Defence Science and Technology Group is looking for an individual who can coordinate the collection of IS&T capability data from across various divisions.
  • This position involves conducting business intelligence analysis and clearly articulating the current and future capabilities of the organisation.
  • The successful candidate will provide advice to senior management on the application of resources and scientific developments to meet Defence requirements.
  • Additionally, they will participate in work to anticipate and resolve IS&T capability issues from a Defence perspective.
  • The role also involves preparing briefs and correspondence as required on issues relating to the organisation's capacity and capability to deliver scientific advice and innovative technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive capability and innovation in the Defence sector.
  • Translate and conduct business intelligence analysis.
  • Cultivate and sustain productive relationships with stakeholders across Defence, industry, and academia.
  • Communicate and articulate organisational capability and future needs with senior leaders.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver recommendations.
