Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Mechanical Design Professional to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, managing and overseeing HVAC systems, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

  • Design and manage HVAC systems for commercial and residential projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Perform heat load calculations, duct and pipe sizing, and equipment selection using relevant software tools.
  • Prepare mechanical design drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of mechanical services, providing technical support to site teams.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and suppliers throughout project life cycles.
  • Conduct inspections and troubleshooting of systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist in preparing tenders, cost estimates, and project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) policies and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering (ANZSCO Skill Level 1).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and duct sizing software.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC mechanical design.
  • Excellent knowledge of Australian standards and Building Codes.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
