Lead Designer

This leadership position is a key role in the Brisbane residential design studio, with national and international projects.
The successful candidate will have a high level of experience in luxury residential architecture, particularly in Subtropical Modernism.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and guide the design direction of major residential projects.
- Ensure exceptional design standards across all studio output, maintaining the legacy of organic and site-responsive architecture.
- Mentor and lead design teams, from experienced architects to graduates.
- Interface with senior leadership for smooth collaboration between teams.
- Presentation of design concepts to clients, articulating design rationale aligned with client vision and site context.
- Cohesive communication across teams and external consultants.
- Enforce high-quality design through detail orientation and material selections.
- Integrate sustainability and long-term resilience into every design.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Architecture; registered architect status.
- 10+ years in design leadership, preferably in high-end residential architecture.
- Demonstrated expertise in concept design and Subtropical Modernism.
- Strong leadership, presentation, and mentorship skills.
- Deep knowledge of software tools (e.g. Revit, SketchUp) and building codes.
