Senior Campus Youth Program Coordinator is seeking an experienced and passionate Youth Worker on a Permanent Part-Time basis to join our Vocational Schools Team located in Mango Hill.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the delivery of pastoral care and community development programs to meet student wellbeing needs and attendance targets.
  • Plan and lead wellbeing programs for students, focusing on their strengths, passions, interests, and unmet needs.
  • Support the delivery of vocational training programs offered to students, ensuring they have access to quality education and career development opportunities.
  • Assist in delivering associated programs, services, and events for young people through the operation of the campus.
  • Build intentional relationships with young people, identifying their strengths, passions, interests, and unmet needs to provide appropriate support.
  • Provide case management and support to identified students, aligning with school policies and practices.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Hold a Certificate III or above in Youth Work, Community Services, or other relevant qualification.
  • Hold a Positive Notice Blue Card, or be willing to obtain it.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups, including young people and their families from various cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to plan and apply behaviour management strategies that contribute to a supportive environment.
  • Commitment to working with young people using the Strengths Approach and demonstrating empathy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, as well as interpersonal skills.
