Job Title: Buyer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Buyer to join our team. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for developing category strategies, managing planning metrics, and allocating stock to ensure our retail stores have the right mix of products for their local markets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop category strategies for new season ranges in line with overall brand strategies, events, and forecasts;
  2. Set and manage planning metrics at a top-down and bottom-up level, such as inventory budgets, open-to-buy, stock turn, sales, and margin goals;
  3. Prepare and present category performance based on sales, sell-through rates, and other data;
  4. Allocate stock to ensure our retail stores have the right mix of products for their local markets, with inclusive sizing availability;
  5. Communicate style changes effectively to the team and ensure actions are taken;
  6. Communicate any price changes that need to be actioned at store level;
  7. Update buying plans and ensure our systems reflect correct numbers per category.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Buyer with local knowledge of the fashion/street/sport industry;
  • Planning experience is desirable;
  • Previous experience in leading and developing a team;
  • Pas- sion for product and buying;
  • Experience with product management systems;
  • Competency in Excel is a must - VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables are essential skills;
  • Confident in communicating and interacting with multiple stakeholders;
  • Passionate and willing to be constantly learning and growing;
  • Adaptable: Thrives in uncertainty and can change priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Core Business knowledge: Able to quickly understand and address business information (e.g., profit and loss statements, budgets, and sales forecasts, retail strategy and approaches).
