About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environment Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our environment management team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical and configuration support within the Non-Production domain across Customer and Technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support non-production environments, performing root cause analysis and defect remediation, maintenance, and configuration.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the Environment Management & Governance strategy for the Tolling and Customer (GLIDe) Platform.
  • Design and implement processes to ensure all environments are built and managed to the highest quality, while being used by projects or programs or for platform maintenance and support.
  • Manage and maintain cloud-based and on-premises environments to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability to enable efficient change delivery.
  • Escalate environment incidents and problems.
  • Establish and embed continuous improvement practices and feedback loops to capture and share learnings across other Customer Platform teams.
  • Participate in the management of strategic vendor relationships and ensure compliance with agreed service levels.
  • Develop a strong working relationship with business, customer, and technology stakeholders to ensure a customer-obsessed approach and deep understanding of strategic goals and operational pain points.
Requirements
  • Reliable, insights-driven, self-motivated, and able to handle the challenges of a varied role in a dynamic organization.
  • Strong history of team/customer engagement and staff motivation.
  • A strong desire to learn with an ability to seek out and accept new challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal) with the ability to deal effectively with both internal and external personnel at all levels.
  • Tertiary qualifications in systems engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline.
  • Proven experience in Information Technology with AWS or on-prem infrastructure.
  • Strong experience with development tooling, e.g., Jenkins, Git Hub, Eclipse.
  • Demonstrated ability of defining and driving complex initiatives/projects.
  • Strong technical skills, with the ability to engage with senior engineers and solution architects to contribute to technical plans and designs.
  • Hands-on experience in Cloud security practice, control implementation, and compliance.
  • Knowledge and experience in DevOps processes and toolchains.
