We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Officer to join our Hospital in the Home (HITH) team at North Canberra Hospital. As an unaccredited Registrar, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the growth and development of our service.
Key Responsibilities- Assist consultants with clinical management of patients and apply medical knowledge and experience in the diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and ongoing management of patients.
- Provide clinical support for all staff members of the HITH Service, including more junior medical staff and nursing staff.
- Maintain effective communication with patients and their relatives, hospital staff, medical colleagues, general practitioners, and other community care providers to ensure the best provision of care, education, and effective handover of ongoing patient care.
- Ensure medical records are appropriately updated and contribute to cost-effective use and wise stewardship of hospital resources.
- Contribute to quality assurance and/or research activities within the unit to fulfill training requirements.
