About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Mechanical Specialist to join our team in Osborne, South Australia. As a key member of our Principal Naval Representative – South Australia team, you will be responsible for providing technical mechanical support to the Collins Class Submarines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical based quality control and assurance, including technical project management support
  • Provide technical mechanical knowledge and advice to stakeholders
  • Engage with teams to deliver complex tasks and projects
  • Assess and implement corrective actions to ensure submarine systems meet requirements
  • Conduct witnessing activities on board the submarine during survey and test & inspection activities
Requirements
  • Be self-motivated with experience delivering complex engineering support to in-service platforms
  • Demonstrate high levels of flexibility and ability to respond to changing priorities
  • Plan and deliver critical complex technical activities
  • Apply specialist technical knowledge and experience to identify risks and provide recommendations

About Our Team

The Collins Submarine Program within the National Shipbuilding Sustainment Group is responsible for maintaining and upgrading Australia's Collins Class submarines. We work closely with the Royal Australian Navy and Industry to ensure submarines meet Navy Seaworthiness requirements.
