About the Role

A&J Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join their dynamic team. As an enthusiastic and highly organised individual, you will play a key role in ensuring safe and efficient electrical engineering operations at all times.

This full-time opportunity offers a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and maintaining safe electrical engineering operations;
  • Undertaking electrical maintenance and repairs, as well as conducting safety checks;
  • Identifying faults and implementing solutions using trouble shooting skills;
  • Arranging electrical equipment installation and testing stability;
  • Maintaining machine and equipment trouble shooting, including modifying and repairing;
  • Conducting tests of electrical systems related to production machinery and systems;
  • Ensuring maintenance schedules are followed;
  • Reporting production turnout and downtime, coordinating staff, and conducting safety compliance checks;
  • Assisting electrical engineers as required;
  • Completing mandatory training and ensuring EH&S daily, weekly, and monthly checks have been finalised;
  • Providing successful mentoring and coaching of trainees;
  • Conducting cost analysis for parts repairing/replacement.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • An electrical technician/trade certificate or proven skills in these areas;
  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience;
  • Experience providing out-of-the-box solutions to unique and complex operating problems;
  • Exposure to managing a diverse team or shift in remote or isolated environments;
  • A general understanding of blow/injection moulding;
  • Able to use computers, radios, phones, tablets etc to achieve work outcomes and reporting requirements;
  • Exposure to working in high-pressure environments;
  • Physically capable of performing the role, including long periods of sitting and standing, working within confined spaces, and working at heights.
