Job Summary

The Assistant Store Manager is a key role in our retail stores, responsible for supporting the store manager in the day-to-day operations. This includes working alongside the store team, providing guidance and coaching, and interacting with customers to deliver excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Provide ongoing coaching and development to ensure the capability and retention of team members. Work a two-week rotating roster, including alternative weekends, to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Sales and Customer Service: Execute Barbeques Galore's sales process to maximise transaction value and profit, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
  • Store Operations: Implement and drive in-store promotions and marketing initiatives, maintaining outstanding store conditions and visual merchandising standards.
  • Quality and Compliance: Maintain a working knowledge of all store and staff policies and procedures, ensuring all team members comply with WHS standards.
About You
  • Previous experience in a retail management environment.
  • Take initiative and operate with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Highly driven, self-motivated approach.
  • Strong selling and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and well-organised.
  • Passion for delivering great customer service and producing great store results.
