Job Overview

This is a leadership role that requires passion for sustainability and exceptional people skills. As the Reuse Shop Coordinator, you will oversee daily operations at the Council's Reuse Shop, driving sales and waste diversion efforts while delivering top-notch customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight of all sales activities, including supporting staff in greeting customers and maintaining a professional attitude.
  • Leading and developing the team to achieve operational excellence and organisational outcomes.
  • Planning and coordinating work activities, including resources and contractors.
  • Operating reporting systems and generating reports to management on request.
  • Ensuring compliance with requirements and achieving key performance indicators.
  • Promoting opportunities to increase diversion and revenue.

The successful applicant will bring a strong mix of qualifications, skills, and experience, including:

  • A Class C Driver's Licence.
  • A General Construction Induction Training Card.
  • National Certificates of Competency - Forklift (LF) (Desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience, skills, and knowledge relevant to the role, including working in a retail environment, cash handling, and resource recovery.
  • Experience leading and working effectively in a team and independently.
