Seeking a senior counsellor to join our multidisciplinary team in Ulverstone. This role will involve delivering high-quality alcohol and drug services, providing specialist assessment and treatment for clients with complex needs, and promoting community awareness.

Job Description:
  • Deliver effective alcohol and other drug treatment in accordance with relevant government legislation, primary health care principles, and professional competencies.
  • Provide expert assessments and treatments for individuals with multiple and complex needs.
  • Act as a consultant to other agencies, promoting community awareness and support for clients with alcohol and other drug needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement effective treatment plans for clients with complex needs.
  2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
  3. Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to alcohol and other drug services.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in social work or a related field.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel for outreach services and consultation.
