Job Description:

Edit and deliver high-quality video content for news programs using AVID Media Composer in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

  • Editing material for broadcasts, including voiceovers, grabs, overlay, and packages, as well as feature-style content for news, current affairs, online, and streaming platforms.
  • Compiling vision for archive and ensuring edited material is delivered correctly and on time.
  • Escalating potential technical problems to the supervisor or engineering team in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring all edited material meets high technical standards and is delivered within strict deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience in media, TV production, or communications, proficiency in editing software, and technical knowledge of media file formats and compression codecs.

A genuine desire to build a long-term career in television broadcasting and streaming, along with a keen interest in news, sport, and current affairs, are essential qualities for this role.

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience in media, TV production, or communications.
  • Proficiency in editing software; AVID Media Composer experience is a plus.
  • Technical knowledge of media file formats and compression codecs.
  • Dedication, professionalism, flexibility, and a proactive approach with a positive attitude.
