About the Role:

The SA Health Rehabilitation, Aged and Palliative Care Division is seeking an experienced Dietitian to join their team.

As a Dietitian in this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing high-quality clinical dietetic services for inpatients and outpatients.

About You:

  • You will have a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with patients and staff at various levels.
  • You will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
  • You will have experience in training clinical students on placement and less experienced staff.
  • You will have a degree or equivalent qualification that gives eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and treating patients, including those with complex cases requiring specialized knowledge.
  • Developing systems for monitoring, reviewing, and improving the standards of services to patients.
  • Linking clients and carers with relevant community resources and services.
  • Providing a consultative service to other team members, disciplines, and agencies, and contributing to educational activities for staff relevant to patient care and management.
  • Prescribing and arranging for the provision of appropriate nutrition.
