Senior Network Power System Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Power System Engineer to join our team.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading technical initiatives, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to strategic planning and operational priorities.

This role requires a strong understanding of system security and network performance, as well as the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive improvements in compliance, modelling, and reporting systems.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers
  • Contribute to strategic planning and operational priorities
  • Provide expert advice on system security and network performance
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to establish network limits and contingency plans
  • Drive improvements in compliance, modelling, and reporting systems
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in an engineering-related role or 7 years in an operational role within the electricity industry
  • Proven technical leadership and ability to influence and mentor others
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to drive improvements and change
  • Solid foundation in network planning, real-time analysis, and compliance

You will also need excellent communication skills and proficiency in EMS, PSS/E, and other specialist analysis tools such as PSCAD, Power Factory, PLEXOS, and Matlab.
