Senior Physiotherapist Role

The Mackay Hospital and Health Service is seeking applications for a Senior Physiotherapist to join their team on a temporary basis.

As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-level comprehensive physiotherapy clinical skills and leadership to provide effective and efficient treatment across inpatient medical, orthopaedic, and surgical services at the Mackay Base Hospital.

About The Role

Our Physiotherapy Department delivers care to patients, both adults and children, throughout our hospital departments as well as in outpatient, community, and rural settings. Our Physiotherapists aim to restore a person's function, maximize their mobility and health, and minimize their dysfunction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-level comprehensive physiotherapy clinical skills and leadership to provide effective and efficient treatment across inpatient medical, orthopaedic, and surgical services at the Mackay Base Hospital.
  • Provide education and training to junior staff members to enhance their knowledge and skills in physiotherapy practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Physiotherapy or related field.
